Swans Vets Win in Enthralling Encounter against Wimborne Vets 55 - 17

On New Years Day Swans Vets XV played Wimborne in the annual Charity Shield game.

It turned out to be a great game, with great spirit against old rivals and friends. In the end Swans won in convincing fashion with a 55 - 17 win.

The highlight of the game was a try from Swans 69 year old Ralph Breeds who powered over the line.

3rd / 4th XV Manager Steve Harney who is only a few years younger and also still playing said "Ralph is a legend at the club and his try without a doubt got the biggest cheer of the day".

With cups already won by now both Swans 1st XV and Swans Vets, the 2nd and 3rd XV's continue to make progress in their cups with the 2nd XV playing North Dorset 2nd XV at home in the Dorset & Wilts 2nd XV Cup, whilst the 3rd XV will be playing North Dorset 3rd XV away in the Dorset & Wilts 3rd XV Cup. Both games this Saturday (07/01/2017) and kick off at 2pm.
