Swans 7-10 Sherborne

An excellent game in tricky conditions

With the weather doing it's best to ruin the game, congratulations must go to both teams for making the most of the conditions.
From the kick off Swans put Sherborne under pressure with some great tackling especially from Joe G playing only his second game at scrumhalf. This got Swans forwards on the front foot and they never looked back, with Sherborne unable to get out of their half Swans looked to turn their pressure into points and did so through Johnny J after he picked up a loose ball and ran in under the post which made the conversion easier for Lewis P. For the rest of the half it was much of the same but Swans couldn't cross the line again due to some good defence.
The second half was roles reversed with Sherborne on the attack and Swans doing the defending which they looked comfortable doing until a drop ball had Sherborne scoring out wide 7-5.Swans had the better of the next 5 mins or so with only a good tackle stopping them 5 meters short of the line. To their credit Sherborne worked hard and managed to grab the winning try with only a few mins left. Overall it was probably the best game the lads have played so far, hopefully the improvements will keep coming. A big done to Luca who played well in his first competitive game.
