Swans VS Oaks Cup

Arm wrestle with both teams giving their all!

Swans under fourteens played away against Oak Medians. On a beautiful, blue, cold, winter morning just the ticket for a great game of rugby. Both teams obliged with the Swans putting pressure on the Oaks from the start, it was a atmospheric affair with both teams sizing each other up.
Swans found themselves in the Oaks half and in a line out, a set move from Josh and Troy, a short line out was performed and the Swans were on the attack, but the Oaks rallied and defended well. Ryan, Zac and Ben H ran at the heart of the Oaks but some of the Oaks must have had three Weetabix that morning and were able to keep the Swans away from the try line. Oaks were awarded a penalty and the kept the tempo of the game up and ran a quick tap. Jonny reading the game as he does so well chased back and put in a fantastic cover tackle, forcing a knock on and getting a scrum for the Swans.
Against the run of play, with the Swans fighting for everything, but not turning pressure into points the Oaks ran in a try.
5-0 conversion missed
From the kick off Oaks received the ball and worked back up the field into the Swans half demonstrating fantastic ball handling skills leading to another try.
10-0 conversion missed
Swans switched on and back and forth both teams fought for territory and possession, but Oaks with help of first time tackles being missed by Swans took their chance and scored again.
15-0 conversion missed
Second half started with both teams quickly at each other Ben H put in a big tackle on one of the Oaks and managed to break his nose, sadly he had to leave the field. Arda replaced Ben H and went straight into the thick of things. A try was scored by Oaks.
20-0 conversion missed
Broken play and Oak’s managed to kick into the Swans half, Ethan at full back proceeded to run back secured the ball and had the vision to run towards the Oaks, turning defence into attack. An infringement from the Oaks and a penalty given to the Swans, quick thinking from Zac enabled him to tap and run to score a wonderful solo try.
20-5 conversion missed
The rest of the game was a massive arm wrestle with both teams giving their all, sadly for us Oaks scored again to see off the game.
25-5 conversion missed
Well done both teams !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
