Calm dry morning....Swans welcome East Dorset

Both teams expected it to be a damp affair according to the weather warning given the night before.

East Dorset kicked off and from the start Swans were on the attack with the forwards taking it to East Dorset, Benjamin was able to dot down the first try from the fly half after spotting a gap in the East Dorset defence 5-0.
Immediately from the restart Zach caught the ball and with the East Dorset 3/4s approaching him on the Swans 10 mtr line, a clever kick over the top and the ball only bouncing once, Zach was able to collect the ball and out pace the East Dorset fullback and score under the post 12-0.
With East Dorset restarting kick off the ball was put in the Swans half and East Dorset putting the Swans defence under pressure, they were able to ruck Swans off of the ball and attack through their 3/4s but some fierce tackling from Joe and some good counter rucking from Oliver, Swans were able to turn the ball over and with martin delivering a quick ball to the 3's and Swans attacking a broken field Zach was able to run from own half to score under the posts 19-0.
The game restarted it seemed whenever Swans collected the ball, that every move the Swans put together would result in a score, but this time the forwards got in on the action this time with Ryan scoring underneath the posts after some quick rucks from the forwards and he was able to break the last tackle to jog in for the score 26-0.
East Dorset resumed the game by kicking the ball deep in the Swans 22 with the ball being collected going forward by Ryan. With Ryan gaining a head of steam he made it to the E Dorset 10 mtr line with at least 5 oppositions hanging from him and many more drawn in to stop him, then resulting a quick ruck from the Swans forwards dragging in some of the opposition 3/4s. This resulted in Zach running in Swans 5th try 33-0.
With East Dorset kicking off and able to put pressure on the Swans forcing a knock on, they were able to put the Swans under pressure from the scrum and after a few phases were able to score out wide 33-5.
With Swans restarting the game and E Dorset wither their renewed confidence looked dangerous whenever they were going forward and with Swans going to sleep on the blind sid of a ruck East Dorset was able to score with the last play of the half 33-12 HT.

With Swans restarting the game for the second half, both teams knew it was important to get the first score of the half Zach was able to power his way over out wide to put a halt to the East Dorset fighting back 38-12.
With East Dorset restarting the game Swans forwards were able to work their way up the field with good powerful running from Troy and Arda, from one of these runs which resulted the ruck James was able to break through and score close to the post 45-12.
With Swans now regaining the upper hand from the restart the kick off went straight to Troy who took the ball to the halfway line and a quick pop pass to Ryan saw him break through the gap and outpace the chasing East Dorset defence 52-12.
With Swans now gaining confidence in running from any area of the pitch and East Dorset kicking deep from the restart Swans forwards were able to go through E Dorset defence and after 4 quick rucks Troy was able to break clear from just inside the E Dorset half and was able to score close to the posts 59-12.
With East Dorset kicking to restart they were able to regain the ball inside the Swans 22 for a period of time, but with Ethan and Aiden producing some great covering tackles Swans were able to repel the E Dorset attacks, but from one of these E Dorset attacks the ball was spilt close to the Swans line and Zach was able to pick up the loose ball and outpace the readjusting E Dorset attack 66-12.
With Swans seemingly able to score at will the next try came from the forwards. With Swans stringing together some good pick and goes they worked their way towards the East Dorset try line and from 5m out Henry was able to power his way over the line for his first try of the season! 71-12.
East Dorset was byt no way giving up and a fine move had the Swans defence in 2 and 3s and they were able to round the Swans defence to score in the corner evading the last ditch covering tackles 71-17.

Well done boys for a sterling effort with 14 players. Keep it going for next weeks game against Bridport.
