Depleted swans side showed fight and character
Well after much change to the side over the summer months the early stages of the season has been about rebuilding and recruiting today we hosted Bridport who we had some very close games with over recent years.
Well in summary this was a good win from the boys it was a open game and Swans made the most of the space available, Swan started on the front foot With Tom going over early to settle the side down and not long after Lewis went over and scored and from here we remained in control for the first half. Only one blemish on the half was losing Freddie to injurie this seemed to unsettle the team and allow Bridport to grown in confidence and them scoring a well earned try just on the stroke of half time.
After Chris spoke with the team at half time he refocused the boys and we stared the seconded half much like the first Lewis adding to his tally, Joe who this season has had to be converted play in the backs due to playing number had a field day as he went on to score four tries, Lewis and Tom both ending up scoring Three tries a piece and Lewis was very successful with the boot scoring a number conversions. But mentions should be made to Casper and Jay who done all the dirty work and really stepped when Freddie went off with making the hard yards and getting the team to drive on.
Luca out on the wing may not grab all the glory in scoring but the amount of try saving tackles he put in and the space and unselfishness with the ball is what help Joe score his 4 tries.
Bridport never gave up and kept reminding us they still had fight in them and end the game as they ended the first half scoring a well deserved last try.
